Practical speaking tips
- Learn by situation. Study one group at a time, such as shopping, and use it that same day.
- Say it aloud. Speaking aloud trains your mouth and your memory together.
- Change one word. “Please close the door” becomes “Please close the window”.
- Record yourself. Listen for pauses and unclear words, then repeat.
- Practise with a partner. Ask and answer the sentences in turns.
- Do not wait for perfect grammar. Clear and polite beats perfect and silent.
